How does CACI work?

The CACI treatment tones and lifts the skin by using microcurrent technology along with ultra-low frequencies and skin resistance technology.

Like with any exercise you do need an initial course of 10-15 depending on the tone of the muscles.

With the initial course it is best to have them about twice a week and then towards the end of the course we will start to spread them out so that you can go on to monthly maintenance.

ANTI WRINKLE INJECTIONS

Botulinum toxin (BT) is a medically prescribed treatment which works by blocking nerve signals to muscles preventing them from contracting. By keeping the muscle in a relaxed state this results in a smoother skin and fewer wrinkles. Longevity of the treatment varies, but the relaxing effect typically starts after approximately 5 days, gets stronger over the next two weeks and lasts around 3 months. There are many ways botulinum toxins can be used and more and more discoveries about their beneficial effects are constantly emerging. The most popular treatments are crows lines, forehead wrinkles and lines between the eyebrows to create a “brow lift”. The most well known brand of botulinum toxin is synonymous with the treatment, however as it is a prescribed drug, promoting or mentioning the brand online is not permitted.

DERMAL FILLERS

Used for rejuvenation or beautification, dermal fillers can be used in areas such as hands, lips, temples, mid-face, cheeks, chin and jaw. Most fillers used in clinic are composed of hyaluronic acid in various strengths suitable for different areas of the face. Semi permanent fillers which stimulate collagen production include poly-l-lactic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite.
Popular treatments include cheek enhancement, rejuvenation of lips in mature people for concerns such as “smokers” type lines, loss of volume and downturned corners of the mouth, naso-labial lines, and marionette lines. SKIN BOOSTERS

Composed of a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, skin boosters such as Profhilo plump the skin and create a healthy glow by attracting water into the tissues and by stimulating the fibroblast cells. Production of collagen and elastin is enhanced through a process called bio-remodelling. The texture and elasticity and thus quality of the skin is improved and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are reduced. The treatment is delivered by intradermal injections of the product.

POLYNUCLEOTIDES

These are regenerative and remodeling products derived from fish DNA (yes really!) which have proven beneficial effects on skin texture and elasticity.

They are introduced into the skin intra-dermally using multiple tiny injections over the area of concern. The products stimulates the number of fibroblasts and increases their efficiency thus stimulating the production of new collagen in the tissues. They also have a role to play in free radical scavenging which protects against environmental damage and they promote hydration in the skin.

Polynucleotides have over 70 years of research and 100+ studies to support the safety and efficacy of these products. They have also been used in hair regeneration for example female alopecia and in scar revision as part of treatment used by plastic surgeons.

ELECTROLYSIS

What is Electrolysis?
It is a progressive method of hair removal which permanently removes hair growth. A small sterile probe finer than a hair is inserted along the hair shaft and a current is administered at the base of the hair (feels like a small sting). This helps to destroy the hair and as a result the hair grows back finer and finer until not at all.
What areas can be treated?
Most areas can be treated but common areas that are treated are lip, chin, chest, eyebrows and areola (the area surrounding the nipple).
It is also used for ‘tidying up’ after IPL/Laser treatments (Please see our page on IPL/Laser for more details).
What hairs can be treated?
This is the great thing about electrolysis, it can treat any hair colour or texture which it is why it is still a very popular treatment today despite being around since the 1900s.
How long will it take?
This is a very common question and a difficult one to answer as there are many contributing factors as to why you may have excess hair such as hormonal imbalances, hereditary, medication. Also the amount of hair and the size of the area to be treated. There are many factors to consider, and is probably best discussed in detail during a consultation. How often will i need to come?
We recommend a two week gap between treatments to start with and this gap will get longer in-between treatments as the process goes on and the hairs become finer and less.
What other considerations?
During a consultation we will check if you are suitable. Contra indications to this treatment include Epilepsy (due to the magnifying light), pregnancy, blood thinning medications, heart conditions (would need a doctors note) and permanent cochlear implants.
Consultations are free of charged and need to be booked alongside your first treatment. method of removal of unwanted hair using a new sterile probe for each treatment.

How experienced are the staff?

What results can I expect from Permanent hair reduction?
Ellipse IPL 2 is amongst the safest and most effective treatment on the market. Laser hair removal delivers great results, generally permanently reducing hair growth by between 75%-95%.
How does the treatment work?
By using a broad wavelength of light combined with a carefully selected pulse interval, the target hairs are selectively heated up and hair growth is destroyed. Treatments are performed at timely intervals in order to gain maximum results.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone responds differently to the treatment and it is also dependant on have other factors such as hormones for instance which can mean needing extra treatments but normally on average women will need 6-8 treatments whereas men will need 8-10 treatments allowing for hormonal differences.

FACIAL THREAD VEIN REMOVAL

Great results can be achieved with this treatment, if you have spider veins or telangiectasias.

The treatment process works in a similar way to hair removal but the target for the light is chromospheres (what gives blood its colour). By heating up the tiny veins, the blood drys up and the vein is resealed deeper in the skin therefore giving a much more uniform appearance to your face.

What should I expect following a thread vein removal treatment?

For the next 5-7 days you should expect to be redder and you may get swelling in the treated area.  This is normal and part of the process, after that, you can expect a more uniformed colour to your skin. On rare occasions you may get a bruise which will disappear as we are working on the higher end of the therapeutic spectrum whilst treating thread veins.

Where can I have this treatment?
